Doctrine of Baptisms

You’ll notice it’s Doctrine of Baptisms (plural)! Yes, there is not just one baptism.

Most everyone is familiar with water baptism, and that is an important baptism. But unfortunately, a lot of people don’t realize that water baptism is meant for those who are old enough to decide that they want to follow Jesus. A baby is not old enough to do that. Jesus showed us the way to water baptism with His example when He was baptized in the River Jordon by John the Baptist.
